The Ritual
Have Dates was born from founders Tenley and Amanda’s favorite late-night ritual: dates, nut butter, and a little chocolate, the kind of simple, nourishing snack they found themselves reaching for again and again.
While catching up in New York, the two were talking about snacks and dating (naturally), when they kept mixing up “date” the food with “date” the person. The lightbulb moment hit, why didn’t this snack exist in stores already?
They headed straight to a coffee shop and started mapping out the business. The name “Have Dates” was coined that day, and the rest unfolded from there.
